In 1927, the Bayonne Branch was founded by the late Mr. Ferdinand Smith because of the need to improve the political, educational and economic status of minorities. However, its primary objective was to eliminate racial prejudice and to keep the public aware of the advanced effects of racial discrimination.
Today, The NAACP Bayonne Branch #2078 is one of over two thousand NAACP local units nationwide. The branch was chartered to serve the following municipality: Bayonne, NJ 07002.The General Membership Meetings are virtual (zoom conference unless otherwise specified ) on the second Tuesday of every month at 7:00 p.m.
