In 1927, the NAACP Bayonne Branch was founded by the late Mr. Ferdinand Smith to improve the political, educational and economic status of people of color. The branch's primary objective was, and remains, to eliminate racial prejudice in all its forms while heightening the awareness of the community-at-large to racial discrimination and its impact.
Today, The NAACP Bayonne Branch #2078 is one of more than two thousand NAACP local units nationwide.
General Membership Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of every month at 7:00 p.m.
For more information about membership, membership meetings or any other questions, please contact: Lisa Glover, Branch Secretary, by calling (201)-514-2660.
